Pac-Man in Trouble with General Mills
General Mills blames Pac-Man Cereal's poor sales in the past decade on Pac-Man's lack of support.
|
Pac-Man Cereal has been selling very poorly in the past decade. Since the cereal is very tasty, it could not be due to a lack of quality. So why isn't it selling?
General Mills, the makers of Pac-Man cereal, say that it is because photographs of Pac-Man enjoying Kellogg's Pop-Tarts have been circulating.
They say that if Pac-Man doesn't convey that he likes the cereal, it will not appeal to the public.

When asked about the situation, Kellogg's wouldn't respond.
We delved deeper into the story...

Pac-Man's lawyers told us that he rather enjoyed his cereal. But their research shows that General Mills hasn't made it for well over a decade, thus the lack of sales.
We went back to General Mills.
In an official statement, General Mills said, "...we make Cheerios, we're the biggest cereal company in the country! We should be able to expect large revenues from all of our cereals, even the ones that we no longer produce! Is that too much to ask?"
|
Apparently it isn't, because General Mills plans on suing both Pac-Man and Kellogg's later this fall. Analysists predict that General Mills will win both law suits.
